Usher and Grace Miguel, his wife and manager, are divorcing after two years of marriage. An insider has now revealed the true reasons behind their decision to call it quits!
Usher and Grace's marriage has been on the rocks this past year, with insiders claiming they fought constantly.
One matter the couple couldn't see eye-to-eye on was the decision to have children together. Grace reportedly wanted to have kids with the singer, although they both already have children from past relationships.
Usher, 39, already has two sons from his previous marriage to Tameka Foster - 9-year-old Naviyd and 10-year-old Usher.
Miguel is the mother to two teenagers, a son and a daughter.
A source dished, "Grace really wanted to have kids and Usher wasn’t necessarily open to the idea."
Grace, who is 46-years-old, realized she may be too old to carry a child naturally. She wanted to use a surrogate, while Usher was only willing to consider adoption.
The subject of children wasn't the only issue in their marriage. Usher made headlines last year after being accused of giving several people herpes.
The herpes scandal and subsequent lawsuits from the singer's accusers really took a toll on their marriage.
One of Usher's accusers revealed she had hooked up with him during his marriage to Grace. Laura Helm claimed that Usher cheated on his wife with her in April 2017 and infected her with the incurable STD.
Usher and Grace have been living separately for some time, and are now moving towards a formal divorce.
The couple announced their separation through a joint statement earlier this week.
The statement reads, "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward."
