Tyrese Gibson opens up about 'love' for Taraji P. Henson and the Possibility of Ever Dating

Fans that have followed Taraji P. Henson and Tyrese Gibson since their "Baby Boy" film days have always longed for the co-stars to hook up in real life. Tyrese addresses the possibility of a love connection with the "Empire" actress.

In an interview with Essence Magazine, Tyrese admits he isn't certain things would work out in a romantic relationship with Taraji. He seems to believe two strong personalities could be an issue.

He told the publication, "You know, independent of us being together and being good friends…and I think that she’s very amazing and special…I don’t really know what that chemistry is independent of the movie set and we both have never tried to go there either.

“But it could be interesting. I mean I do love her and I do know her, but she’s got a very big personality and I do too. And I feel like when you get in a relationship, you can cancel each other out. And it has nothing to do with her success versus mine…she’s a Virgo, she’s loud, she’s aggressive. And I’m big, and I’m aggressive and I need a woman that’s got a soft voice, and her voice doesn’t even go above a certain octave.”

Gibson told a hilarious story about Henson when the friends enjoyed a movie night at his home.

Tyrese recalled watching "The Notebook" with Taraji as she sipped on wine and they made up some popcorn. He revealed the adorable actress leaned forward to ask for some popcorn and nearly knocked him down with her stinky breath.

Taraji also took on the dating rumors when she appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” previously.
Henson said of dating Gibson, "Not all all – ever. I promise you. If I did I would tell [you]. First of all, I am a horrible liar, these big ole’ eyes will tell on me. Oh gosh. I can’t lie. If Tyrese and I crossed that line the love wouldn’t be there. The chemistry wouldn’t be there because Taraji and Tyrese did it."
