The Ivy Hotel is Co-Black-Owned and Gorgeous
Formerly The Inn at Government House, The Ivy Hotel has become the hospitality star of Baltimore’s Mount Vernon district. This district, known for tons of charm and history, is now home to a luxury, boutique hotel, which compliments the graceful streets and elegant row houses.
The Ivy is co-owned by Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown. Mr. Brown is chairman, CEO and founder of Brown Capital Management. Mrs. Brown, a former educator, is a Health Advisory Board Member at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Avid travelers and 2 of Baltimore’s most generous philanthropists, The Browns established The Brown Family Foundation in 1994, providing aid to education, the arts and local Baltimore health programs.

The menu ranges from raw bar to sashimi to grass-fed beef tenderloin. Private Dining seating in their intimate, common rooms, as well as the wine cellar, is highlighted by personal service. The courtyard is an excellent space for casual drinks or coffee and the library or music room, are ideal for relaxing, after a day of seeing the sights. The Spy at The Ivy pampers guests with facials, massage, “Body Rituals” and a full service beauty bar.
