Dame Dash Opens Up About Friendship With Jay Z: Thinks Hova is an Informant? (VIDEO)
Rock-A-Fella Records co-founder, Damon Dash, has spoken out about his relationship with Jay Z and even hints that Hova is an informant.
During an interview with Wiretapped’s Sharon Carpenter, Dash covered subjects such as his projects with Kanye West, as well as the fall-out with Hova and Rocka-A-Fella records.
Dash told Sharon, "It bothers me because I put a lot in a brand and for whatever reason I couldn’t monetize it anymore."
Jay Z and Dame were photographed at a mutual friend's birthday bash in 2013, but Dash confirmed they are not on good terms and maybe were never truly friends.
Dash said that if they had been friends that Jay Z would have let him have Roc-A-Fella Records.
Dame said, "Roc-A-Fella was always available for me. But Jay made a point that I shouldn’t have it. And I was thinking at the time, it must have been because he wanted it. But it couldn’t have been cause there’s no Roc-A-Fella no more. So, what was the purpose of it? So, I never really understood if Jay was ever really my friend. Like why he would do that to his man, pause. And he said it was business, but I didn’t see the business in it. Cause there’s no business in Roc-A-Fella anymore…I really thought we was friends. But I guess I got gaffled."
In an interview with Sway in the Morning, Dash hinted that he believes Jay Z is an informant and doesn't want anything to do with that stuff.
Dash said, "This is the one time that the paper did scare me, and I was like, ‘Well there has to be some truth to it,’ which is when I read about his affiliation with informants. You know, that he was in business with certain people. And, it’s tricky for me to say, but based on where I’m from, I can’t have nothing to do with that."
