There has been a rumor circulating since way back in 2001 about Bow Wow allegedly being raped by a bodyguard. The rapper and actor shut down the rumor during a recent interview with VLAD TV.
The rumor claimed that Bow Wow was raped by his bodyguard in his own limousine, and had to have 12 stitches to repair the damage. The rumor was accompanied by claims that Snoop Dogg had put a hit out on the limo driver over the alleged incident.
Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, was asked about the longstanding rumor during a recent interview.
The rapper said the rumor was [expletive] ridiculous and was one of the first rumors that came out about him in his career.
He recalled, "I’ll never forget that [expletive]. I was in Paris coming back to the States, and I was going through the airport. I believe I was going to Philly. I had to call into the radio stations to just clear that [expletive] up."

Bow Wow said he never figured out who started the crazy rumor, but that he realizes outlandish rumors come with being famous.

In another segment of the interview, Moss was asked about telling a Twitter fan that he wasn't Black and couldn't relate to issues Black people suffered through during the Civil Rights Movement.
The "Growing Up Hip Hop" star claims his comments were taken out of context. However, he still maintains that he's never personally experienced racism despite living in Atlanta for over 20 years of his life.
He went on to add that the issues do bother him, but that he has chosen to remain quiet because he is criticized when he does.
Up late working on Greenlight 6. CLASSIC
Moss began his rap career at the tender age of five, calling himself "Kid Gangsta".
A year later he climbed onstage during the Chronic tour and rapped so well that he caught the attention of Snoop Dogg, who called him back to his dressing room. Snoop gave him the nickname of Lil' Bow Wow and hired him to be the opening act for his tour.
Bow Wow later signed a deal on So So Def/Columbia with the help of Jermaine Dupri, who molded him as a rapper that could be a role model for young kids.

Dupri explained at the time, "These days in rap, kids don't have any role models. I knew it was time for him to come out because little girls from 11 to 16 don't have anybody that they can claim as their own. Nobody is putting time into making an artist for them. I want Bow Wow to represent a young black superstar."
