Jonas's Garden & Fitness: Students will engage in opportunities to bring science, math, and other curricular areas to life through our classroom "tower garden." It is a no-mess, no-fuss way to grow fruits and vegetables in less time and fewer resources. Classroom lesson plans will be provided and as studies show...kids eat what they grow!

Forgotten People Enrichment Tour: Date: Saturday, June 30, 2018 6:00AM - 10:00 PM
We will introduce the younger generation to slavery and plantation life in the deep south by visiting two plantations, a church and a college in historic Natchitoches, Louisiana. Why this trip? Black history, which focuses on the contributions from African Americans should remain in the minds of our young people.
1. To honor historic leaders of the Black Community.
2. To be better stewards of the privileges we’ve gained
3. An opportunity to highlight the best of Black History & Culture 4. Creates awareness for all people 5. Helps students develop an accurate understanding of African Americans in the United States.
Free only to DISD students with a valid student ID. Sign up is free to all others BUT $25 is due on June 5th if you are not a DISD student.
Art & Social Emotional Learning: June 11-14, 2018 Learn social emotional learning skills through creative artwork in a instructor led class. Free only to DISD students with a valid student ID. $15 is due on June 5th if you are not a DISD student.
